2022 PEGASOS®
Wald und Schotter
Niederösterreich
You certainly wouldn’t call our Pegasos® a classic example of this particular variety. Our take reflects the origins of the mythical winged horse that gives the wine its name – born of torment, he emerges from the head of a stunning beauty and, out of chaos, creates a source of inspiration for poets and singers.
Grown in the Ried Neuberg vineyard, which is shaped by its gravelly soil as well as the nearby forest, the Syrah grapes are harvested by hand after they reach physiological maturity and then carefully vinified. Ageing in specially selected barriques gives the wine its elegance and finely sculpted structure. Poetry in its purest form.
